The Best Mother's Day Gift of All
After their hair and makeup was done, Kathy pulled out her iPhone to get a few selfies with her daughter. They both beamed into the lens for a moment, then Jalena distorted her face into a silly expression and Kathy followed. "We're bad at this!" Jalena joked, and they laughed as they walked away from the window light.
In the midst of school, work, volleyball practice, basketball games and family dinners, I was honored to hold a space for Kathy and Jalena to take a few hours to connect with each other. It's so interesting to watch a mother and teenager interact together. It was a privilege to witness.
That weekend, I read these words from Kathy and smiled with joy: "Thank you so much for sharing your gifts & love with Jalena & me. I will treasure the photos forever".
It may only be the first week of February, but now is the perfect time to plan ahead for Mother's Day. If you would like to schedule your Mother/Child shoot, reach out and let's talk! I am based in Dallas, Texas but I'm often traveling to different cities across the country, and I'm happy to come to you wherever you are. Send me a message to book your shoot today.
